Maniac (New 40th Anniversary Cover Version) Michael Sembello X NiVO, Produced by Klay Shroedel

Last year Klay Shroedel and his long time friend and music collaborator Michael Sembello got together in Santorini, Greece to record an all new version of Mike’s Grammy Winning hit “Maniac” from the smash-hit movie “Flashdance” at the world famous recording facility, Blackrock Studio. The release now in 2023 marks the 40 year anniversary of the song and film, and this version is Michael Sembello X NiVO. NiVO is one of the most influential hip-hop artists in Greece, having paved the way for future artists on the Greek and international music scenes.

Sembello and Shroedel wanted to make a completely different version from the original. Pounding drums and heavy bass parts paired with some experimental samples and sounds. In short – a new Maniac you can groove your ass off to! So enjoy!
